Ron Flinn, the vice president for Strategic Infrastructure Planning and Facilities at MSU, is retiring in December after more than 50 years on campus.

Flinn started working at MSU as an engineering student in 1957, and was hired full-time when he graduated in 1960. When he first started working, he says there was no Wilson Road, and that Shaw Hall was the newest residence hall.

At the end of this year, Flinn will have the longest tenure as both a student and employee at the university. Flinn says he might volunteer at MSU throughout his retirement.
