The MSU football team proved the doubters wrong Saturday night, winning at Notre Dame. We talk with Current Sports host Al Martin about the Spartans and the Detroit Lions.

What looked to be a complete runaway of a game quickly turned into a dogfight in South Bend between the Michigan State football team and Notre Dame Saturday night. The Spartans saw a 29 point lead cut to just eight with about six minutes left to play, but MSU held on for the big road win.

The gutsy effort is why the Spartans are now ranked this week as the number eight team in college football by both the Associated Press and the Amway coaches poll.
