The fifth season of 90.5 Community Concertsairs Tuesdays at 7 p.m. on 90.5 WKAR. Hosted by Jody Knol, the series highlights performances by area orchestras and soloists. It is also streamed on 90.5 WKAR and on WKAR Classical on WKAR.org and repeated on the WKAR Classical stream Saturday at 6 p.m.
Among the orchestras and vocal ensembles featured will be the Lansing Symphony, MSU Symphony and Jackson Symphony orchestras, Lange Choral Ensemble and Arts Chorale of Greater Lansing. Soloists include Suren Bagratuni, Rich Ridenour, Dmitri Berlinsky, Laurel Federbush, Giora Schmidt, Arthur Greene, Mary Rodeck, Felix Wang, Heather Peyton, Yuri Gandelsman, Deborah Moriarty and Victoria Walker.
Included in the season are works by Tchaikovsky, Bruckner, Mozart, Higdon, Beethoven, Korngold, Brahms, Debussy and many others.
