Second line New Orleans sound meets hip-hop, reggae and funk in this Chicago-based tour de force. Recorded live at Albert White Auditorium in East Lansing.

"We're really throwing everything we're influenced by into the mix," says founding member and tenor sax player Chris Neil. "That's how we've always gone about creating our own sound."

Lowdown Brass Band features selections from their self-titled CD and from the EP, "We Just Want to Be."

Lowdown Brass Band is David Levine, baritone saxophone; Chris Neal, tenor saxophone; Lance Loiselle, sousaphone; Mike August, drums; John Barbush, drums; Raphael Crawford, trombone; Sam Johnson, trumpet.
