Current State's Jamie Paisley speaks with the music director of the New York Philharmonic, Maestro Alan Gilbert, about the orchestra’s three day residency this weekend at the University of Michigan. That includes leading a performance at Michigan Stadium Saturday.

Last night he conducted the New York Philharmonic in Carnegie Hall and tonight he’s hauling that fantastic orchestra to Ann Arbor. Maestro Alan Gilbert will be in town tonight for the first in a multi-year residency the New York Phil has with University of Michigan’s fine arts branch, the University Musical Society.

Current State’s Jamie Paisley talks with Maestro Gilbert about his Michigan trip, which will include one of the largest live audiences he’s ever had.
