We speak with Lansing Symphony Orchestra maestro Timothy Muffitt about Wednesday's concert, along with Gilmore Young Artist Award winner Daniel Hsu ahead of his appearance with the LSO.

Lansing Symphony Orchestra concerts typically occur on the weekends, but because of MSU graduation ceremonies, the LSO season finale concert is scheduled for Wednesday at the Wharton Center.

Current State’s Jamie Paisley speaks with Maestro Timothy Muffitt and the guest artist for this last concert of the season, 18-year-old pianist Daniel Hsu, about tomorrow’s concert.

Hsu comes to Michigan as one of the two winners of the Gilmore Young Artist prize this year, which goes to promising pianists under the age of 22. The Gilmore Young Artist prizes have gone to individuals who have excelled as they’ve aged. Names like Jonathan Biss, Orli Shaham and Yuja Wang.
