The Flint Symphony Orchestra begins their landmark 100th season this weekend. We speak with Maestro Enrique Diemecke about kicking the celebration off by playing music that appeared on that very first concert a century ago.

This weekend, the 100th season of the Flint Symphony Orchestra gets underway. Guest pianist Haochen Zhang will play the Rachmaninoff 3rd Piano Concerto. The second half of the program includes two-thirds of a famed Roman Trilogy of works by composer Ottorino Respighi.

Current State’s Jamie Paisley speaks with Maestro Enrique Diemecke to find out how the ensemble would begin celebrating a century of classical music in The Vehicle City.
