General Motors’ 52,000 UAW workers are voting on a proposed new contract with the automaker. We get an update and explore what the agreement could mean with Crain’s Automotive’s GM beat writer Mike Colias.

As unionized General Motors workers near the end of voting on a new four year contract, the tally suggests the pact will be approved. Voting continues today, but already, a significant majority of the automaker’s 52,000 workers have voted to support the deal. Highlights include $8,000 signing bonuses and a raise for all workers.
