“Lansing strong” might be the mantra for the 2016 Camaro. Sales have been brisk and it’s built at the capital city’s Grand River Assembly. Current State's Peter Whorf speaks with Camaro Executive Chief Engineer Al Oppenheiser.

Gutsy engine, lithe handling, sharp styling. Those are just of few of the positive words written about the all-new 2016 Chevrolet Camaro. The re-imagined classic Pony Car is built at Lansing’s Grand River Assembly, and capital city GM workers can now take pride in knowing Camaro was recently named Car of the Year by Motor Trend magazine.

Al Oppenheiser is the man behind the muscle. He’s Chief Executive Engineer for Camaro.

Current State's Peter Whorf talks with Oppenheiser from the Detroit Auto Show, opening to the public this weekend.
