One-third of Michigan’s Republican congressional delegation was in Lansing Monday to tout the newly passed House tax reform bill.

Reps. Tim Walberg (MI-7), Mike Bishop (MI-8) and Paul Mitchell (MI-10) toured Industrial Metal Products Corporation in Lansing.  It’s a micro finishing business, the type the GOP says will benefit from the new corporate tax rate, which drops from 35 to 20 percent.

CEO Pat Cebelak says it will help him reinvest in his workforce.

“I have jobs right now that I can’t find qualified folks for,” Cebelak says.  “Maybe with the tax cut, with simplification, less regulation, maybe I can offer more for those jobs and maybe I can go find those people to move here.”

Representative Walberg says if the reforms clear the Senate and become law, the United States will move from having the worst corporate tax climate of all developed countries to one of the best.
