NBA Draft; DeShaun Tate; Jimmy Butler; Detroit Pistons; Luke Kennard; D.J. Wilson; Mylan Hicks' Shooting; Renee Hill.

Today, "Current Sports With Al Martin"  is full of the highest of highs and the lowest of lows. The show starts off on a light note with some day after the draft commentary between Al and engineer Isaac Constans, who reflect on the deal that shifted the balance of power between the two conferences. Hear how the Minnesota Timberwolves were winners of the draft, and who followed in their footsteps. As the first guest, DeShaun Tate, college basketball columnist and host for CBS Atlanta Sports Talk Radio 92.9 The Game, joins Al to discuss Thursday's NBA Draft. Topics range from the biggest surprises of the night to the Detroit Pistons' selection of Duke's Luke Kennard. Was it the right move? They also weigh in on Michigan's D.J. Wilson going No. 17 overall to the Milwaukee Bucks, exploring what he could bring to the team in his first year.

To close out the show, Renee Hill, mother of former Michigan State football player Mylan Hicks, joins Al to tell a story that no parent should ever have to tell. She recounts the night that Hicks was shot and killed outside of a Canadian night club, as well as how she found out about the unfathomable event. Going through the life of Hicks, Hill elaborates on his time at MSU, and how his experiences there helped him grow.  Hill closes out her time on Current Sports by relaying a message of how she believes Hicks should be remembered. With a heart-wrenching close to the show, Hicks leaves everybody speechless with her strength and faith as time expires for Friday's edition of Current Sports.
