The Detroit Lions were on fire, and now, much of the early season hype has been extinguished. After "Current Sports with Al Martin" extensively covered the rise of the Lions, it now covers the fall. Al scrutinizes the team, pointing out areas that need improvement. But with so much injury, is change possible? Engineer Isaac Constans surprisingly claims the defense is not to blame for the loss to the New Orleans Saints, who put up 52 points. He explains why, and Isaac and Al contest whether quarterback Matthew Stafford should bare some of the blame. Then, Studio S welcomes Mr. 100. Damon Rensing, head coach of the MSU men's soccer team, reached 100 career wins this weekend, and he joins the show to track how he reached that point. Not to rest on his laurels, he's quick to point to the tough road ahead for his team, off to the best conference start in program history. Rensing also explores other sports topics and leads the way into the show's final segment. Al takes a call, and MSU football coach Mark Dantonio shares his sense of humor with listeners to brighten the day ahead.
