Lansing has had another strong year in terms of tourism for the region. Will 2016 likely be as strong? In other business news, Michigan legislators are taking a close look at the property taxation of big-box stores like Home Depot and Wal-Mart. We’re just a week into December, but there’s already plenty to discuss in the world of business news affecting the Greater Lansing region this month. Michigan legislators are considering proposals to change the property tax assessments of big-box stores like Wal-mart and Meijer. Lansing is looking at another record year in regards to tourism, and the rift between the East Lansing City Council and the Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce continues to generate discussion.
