Today was originally scheduled to be the final day of the Larry Nassar sentencing proceedings in Ingham County, but they will be continuing next week. The number of women coming forward to give victim-impact statements has been growing every day since sentencing began Tuesday.
Olympic gold medalists Jordyn Wieber and Aly Raisman were both in the courtroom this morning to give a statements.
Raisman said she had not planned to attend these hearings, but after watching the impact statements from the other survivors, she realized she needed to be here.
"Larry, you do realize now that we, this group of women you so heartlessly abused over such a long period of time, are now a force and you are nothing. The tables have turned Larry, we are here, we have our voices and we are not going anywhere," she said.
The six time Olympic medalist went on to call out USA Gymnastics and the US Olympic Committee for enabling doctor Larry Nassar's sexually abusive behavior.
Nassar began treating Raisman when she was 15. She accused him of sexual abuse last November.
