Opponents of Recreational Marijuana Say They'll Keep Fighting

Voters approved the legalization of recreational marijuana in Michigan, but the group against the measure says their fight isn’t over.

Healthy and Productive Michigan says it will help cities who want to opt out of allowing recreational marijuana businesses within their jurisdictions.

They say they’ll also work with the legislature to try to limit potent amounts of THC – a mind-altering component of marijuana.

Scott Greenlee is with Healthy and Productive Michigan.

“This is a proposal that doesn’t prescribe any top level and when that has happened in other states like Colorado again it's 99 percent T-H-C products that are floating around out there," said Greenlee.

Supporters say legalizing recreational marijuana use will bring in around $130 million dollars in tax revenue each year.
