Ingham millage supporter cites “lots of problems” with existing animal shelter

Some say Ingham county’s 45-year old animal shelter has had it. They’re supporting a millage to pay for a new one. Others say the county has more pressing needs. We talk with Democratic county commissioner Penelope Tsernoglou about why she’s a backer.

Tomorrow, Ingham county voters will decide whether to create a millage to pay for a new $9.6-million dollar animal shelter.

Penelope Tsernoglou is about to wrap up four years serving on the Ingham County Board of Commissioners.  The East Lansing Democrat is an attorney and the owner of the Lansing business, Practical Political Consulting.
