Michigan utility companies say they expect to have nearly all electrical outages repaired by Monday night, which would be three days after several thousands of home and businesses lost power following high winds.
At least nearly 400,000 homes and businesses around Michigan lost electricity on Friday as winds that reached 70 miles per hour toppled trees and power lines and led to two deaths.
Detroit-based DTE Energy said it expected to have 90 percent of its some 300,000 outages repaired by Sunday night and nearly all others on Monday.
Jackson-based Consumers Energy says it had fewer than 3,000 outages remaining Sunday afternoon from among its 90,000 affected customers.
Fallen trees Friday in Oakland County killed one person inside a car in Pontiac and another person in Independence Township.
