Jay Wagar tells a story at our most recent Pop-Up Stories event on the theme "The Call of the Wild."

We just had a Pop-Up Stories event last week at Valley Court Park here in East Lansing. The theme was “The Call of the Wild,” and we certainly heard some wild stories.

This short story was from Jay Wagar, about an unexpected encounter on a Japanese beach.

Join us for our next Pop-Up Stories on August 31st at 6 p.m. at Red Cedar Spirits. The theme is “The Heat Is On,” and we’re looking for more storytellers to sign up. If you want to tell your own story, email us at currentstate@wkar.org. You can also stay up to date on all our upcoming events by liking our Facebook page at PopUpStoriesLansing.
