Nick Neuveau (L) and Paul Schmittgall at WKAR's most recent Pop-Up Stories event.

Most people roots are determined by family. We learned that at Current State’s most recent Pop-Up Stories event, but we also learned from a Lansing man that livelihood also plays a role.

At Current State’s last Pop Up Stories gathering, one pair of storytellers explained how their roots were also determined by their work. Paul Schmittgall and his Lansing partner, Nick Neuveau, were recorded live at the Allen Market Place.

Our next Pop Up Stories gathering is this Thursday night. The theme is The Call of the Wild. Hear true, first person, live stories about nature, wildlife and the outdoors beginning at 7 p.m. at Valley Court Park East Lansing. There's more information at our Facebook page, Pop Up Stories Lansing.
