WKAR-TV is working on an upcoming season of “Backstage Pass” programs. Top musicians perform live before an audience in the WKAR studios for the show.

A few days ago, Joshua Davis was here with his band.

The former leader of the Lansing band Steppin’ In It now lives in Traverse City. He’s riding high on the national attention he earned as a finalist on TV’s “The Voice,” and he’s putting the finishing touches on a soon-to-be-released new album.

Here’s a sample of the music and the conversation with Joshua Davis for “Backstage Pass.”

Three more episodes of “Backstage Pass” will record this week, and you’re invited! See Off the Ledge on Thursday, Mama Sol and the Nuts on Friday, and The Accidentals on Saturday. Find information about free tickets for any or all of the shows at WKAR.org.
