Another slate of Friday night folk music concerts begins tonight with the first Ten Pound Fiddle show of the season.

Highlights include a Joshua Davis concert in January and the mid-winter Singing and Folk Festival with the legendary Tom Paxton in February.

There’s been a change of plans for tonight’s opening concert. Luke Winslow King has had to cancel due to an illness in his family. Filling in will be Detroiter Robert B. Jones.

May Erlewine will perform an album release show supporting her latest, "Mother Lion," next month.

WKAR’s Scott Pohl talks about the schedule with organizer Sally Potter.
