Dear Friends,

I am excited to share that WKAR will launch a new educational service in early 2021 called the Michigan Learning Channel (MLC). The network will deliver educational programming statewide and offer opportunities for WKAR to engage with families, teachers and students. There is a crucial need for this service, especially now, and into the future. I encourage you to read more about this exciting news here.

Coming up this week, explore with PBS American Portrait how people in different age groups, from adolescents to seniors, see themselves and their place in America.

You can contribute to American Portrait by sharing your own Michigan story with PBS and WKAR. More information can be found at tv.wkar.org/americanportrait.

WKAR News reporters continue to deliver informative, fact-based news during a critical time. Here is a sample of a few locally produced stories that you can find right now.

Thank you for allowing WKAR to be your trusted partner. We’re here for you because of you.

Respectfully,
