Reflecting on WKAR | Oct. 16, 2020

Notes from Susi

Dear Friends,

PBS celebrated 50 years of service on Sunday, October 4. This extraordinary milestone has been recognized with significant media attention across the country, including stories and tributes in major newspapers, publications and broadcasts.

As I reflect on WKAR TV’s own history, which predates even PBS, I am so proud to have spent the past 25 years of my career here, at the station, upholding the values of PBS and serving you, our most dedicated members.

I recently shared WKAR’s story with Russ White of MSU Today and I invite you to read or listen to the interview. I’m willing to bet you all have a personal story of how PBS or WKAR has touched your life, so much so that you choose to invest so that others may experience that joy for the next 50 years. You, and those before you, have truly made a difference, and for that we can all be grateful.

Respectfully,
