Notes from Susi

Dear Friends,

We recognize how challenging it can be to discuss the current social issues with young children. WKAR Family and PBS KIDS are here to empower you with the resources and tools to help ease these conversations.

For support on the discussion about race and racism, tune in tonight for the special, PBS KIDS Talk About: Race and Racism. This special airing on our PBS KIDS 24/7 channel features kids and their parents talking about race and racial justice-related topics in an age-appropriate way.

To help further address this complex topic, next week WKAR and PBS KIDS will premiere a new Sesame Street special, The Power of We. The program will provide resources for parents and caregivers and model how children can stand up to racism.

Stay well,
