WKAR TV is currently broadcasting at low power. Viewers in outlying areas may have no reception via antenna. Website streaming and some cable systems will not be affected.

UPDATE: 7am 4/26/24. WKAR TV is currently operating at reduced power. Channel 23.1-5 went off-the-air unexpectedly at about 6:15pm Thursday. Engineers were able to restore broadcast service at reduced power at approx. 2:30am. Work continues to bring the station to full power.

As we enter each new year here at WKAR, we set aside time to take inventory of our efforts to serve and support the community during previous year. Where does the time go? December 1 marked one year since I officially began in my role as general manager at WKAR. When I think about this past year and the months served as interim GM, I can’t imagine a better introduction to WKAR’s long history of service and to the people we serve today in our community.
