Emil’s Italian restaurant on East Michigan Avenue in Lansing is closing its doors after more than 90 years. It was the first establishment in the city to get its beer and wine license after prohibition ended. It has attracted celebrities, politicians, and musicians like the Pointer Sisters and Frankie Valli, and it all started with a little fruit stand.
