MSU Football; Holiday Bowl; Mark Dantonio; Outback Bowl; College Football Playoff Selection; Weekend Winners.

Sunny skies are ahead for MSU football, and yet, after finishing 9-3 with two huge upset wins, Mark Dantonio's team was anything but cheery after the slate of bowl games was announced on Sunday. "Current Sports with Al Martin" visits some of the post-selection Tweets from players and comments from coach Dantonio with the Spartans going to San Diego for the Holiday Bowl. Once again, it all comes down to the comparison game, with unranked rival Michigan getting a bid to the more prestigious Outback Bowl. While much Spartan Nation is upset, Dantonio played it classy. Engineer Isaac Constans looks forward to the Spartans' matchup with Washington State but says that the meaning behind the bowl invitation was unmistakably a "slight." Al fields calls from a few similarly tempered listeners and then scans over the rest of the college football world. In the four-team playoff, many believe that two teams were left out, but Al springs to the defense of the playoff committee. Engineer Isaac Constans sides with Nick Saban's Alabama team, and then "Weekend Winners" recaps the final few details from the last couple of days.
