It's the last show before the Christmas break, and "Current Sports with Al Martin" has the soundtrack to satisfy your holiday sweet-tooth. Al and engineer Ian Hawley discuss the Holiday Bowl between Michigan State and Washington State, as well as Michigan State Basketball. The Spartans hosted Long Beach State at the Breslin Center Thursday night, and Al and Ian discuss their performance. Fred Heumann, WLNS TV 6 sports director, joins the show to share memories of the late Dick Enberg. Enberg, a Hall of Fame broadcaster, passed away Thursday night, and will be remembered as one of the most beloved voices in sports history. Al closes the show with a clip of Enberg calling the 1979 NCAA National Championship played between Michigan State and Indiana State.
