The interview train keeps on pushing here on "Current Sports with Al Martin," starting with Carlton Valentine. The former Lansing Sexton boys basketball coach joins the show to talk about the success of his sons, Denzel and Drew, and to voice his support for MSU coach Tom Izzo in the wake of the NCAA Tournament loss to Syracuse. Drew is an assistant coach for the Elite Eight bound Loyola Chicago men's basketball team, which has captivated the nation. Denzel is now in his second season with the NBA's Chicago Bulls. Quite the family!

Next we're joined by Jason Fuller, one of the organizers for the  ninth annual Battlefield Brawl. The flag-football charity event is hosted annually in Lansing, and Al is hoping for a victory for his own squad this year. WKAR news reporter Scott Pohl joins the show, as we hear part two of his interview with Keith Gave and his book "The Russian Five" centered on the Russian hockey players that defected to join the Detroit Red Wings. Gave will appear at the Schuler Book Store in Okemos on Saturday at 2pm.

To wrap up the week, Al and Ian look back on their favorite sports moments of the week in Reflection Friday.
