Schor's First State Of The City Tonight

Andy Schor was sworn in as mayor of Lansing on January 1st. Tonight, he delivers his first State of the City address. Click on this story for a link to watch the speech.

Schor says Pattengill was chosen to signal his commitment to Lansing schools. "Education is a theme of my administration," Schor explains, "and we will be talking about education and partnering with the Lansing School District and our education community."

Schor continues that "when you do a State of the City, you want to showcase different places in the city, and we want to showcase Pattengill as part of our excellent Lansing schools."

Other themes of the speech will include Schor's efforts related to neighborhoods, economic development, infrastructure and some new programs he hopes to put in place.
