The last day of the Michigan legislature’s 2013 session is scheduled to be tomorrow.  That’s ramped up efforts by majority Republicans to pass several proposals generating a lot of debate.Yesterday, for example, a measure increasing campaign contribution limits and three bills involving medical marijuana went from committees to the full house.

Another would hold back Michigan’s third graders if they’re not reading up to their grade level.

Democratic House Minority Leader Tim Greimel of Auburn Hills describes an abortion insurance measure promoted by Right to Life of Michigan as "an unprecedented interference in the private health insurance marketplace".
