GM’s first female CEO could face a call for employee raises

Yesterday, General Motors announced Mary Barra would become the company's next CEO. Barra is the first female CEO of a major U.S. auto company.Micheline Maynard, former New York Times Detroit bureau chief and editor of Curbing Cars, says Barra has been at GM for her entire career, dating back to her time as a student at Kettering University.
