Spartans Edge Maryland for Date in Big Ten Tourney Ship

The No. 2 Michigan State men's basketball team was able to squeak out a close win on Saturday over the No. 18 Maryland Terrapins in the semifinals of the Big Ten Tourney in Indianapolis, IN at Bankers Life Fieldhouse. 

Denzel Valentine missed the front end of a one-and-one with 10.2 seconds left to play, but was able to grab a rebound on the other end of the floor and knock down a pair of free throws to seal the deal. Valentine lead the way for the Spartans with 18 points, seven rebounds, and 10 assists. 

Michigan State faces No. 13 Purdue in Big Ten Tournament championship game Sunday, making it three straight year's the Spartans have reached the title game.
