We check in on the biggest environmental stories from around the region with commentator Gary Wilson for our February Great Lakes Month in Review segment.

Having clean, safe drinking water is something that many of us take for granted, especially since in Michigan, we’re surrounded by around 20 percent of the world’s fresh surface water. But even in the Great Lakes region, clean drinking water isn’t guaranteed, as news stories out of Flint, Michigan and Waukesha, Wisconsin this month prove.

We talk about February’s biggest environmental stories with Great Lakes commentator Gary Wilson.

This segment is supported by Michigan State University's Knight Center for Environmental Journalism. More news about the Great Lakes environment can be found at GreatLakesEcho.org and on Current State every Tuesday as part of our partnership.
