Healthy. Local. Sustainable. The words capture the priorities of the group ‘Gourmet Gone Wild,' a non-profit organization with a dual mission.First, it’s about connecting 20 to 40 year olds in mid-Michigan to the pleasures of hunting and fishing. Second,  it’s dedicated to promoting the benefits of eating healthy, locally harvested wild game.

Several other entities are involved in Gourmet Gone Wild, including the Michigan United Conservation Clubs, Michigan State University and others.

Current State speaks with Jordan Burroughs, a wildlife outreach specialist with Michigan State University’s Department of Fisheries and Wildlife.
