For someone who's been unemployed for a while, the 2010 census could be a place to find work.

The good news is that the local office of the census bureau will fill between 800 and 1,200 positions. The not-so-good news is that they've already received many more applications than that. As part of our "reWorking Michigan" series, WKAR's Scott Pohl spoke with Dichondra Johnson-Gieger with the Lansing census office about jobs with the bureau. She says the number of people hired will depend on the percentage of residents in a six-county area who return their census forms.
