EAST LANSING, MI –
Michigan State University police are aiming to crack down on poor fan behavior in Spartan Stadium.

AUDIO:
A near-capacity crowd is expected at Spartan Stadium for Saturday's season-opening football contest against Western Michigan University. MSU police will be using a text-messaging system to help identify problems in the crowd. The "If You See Something, Say Something" program allows fans to text reports of suspicious, illegal, and overly-rowdy behavior. Similar technology is already in place at most NFL venues. More than three dozen colleges across the country also use a similar system.
