Keane has 23 points, Michigan St beats Dayton

By AP

EAST LANSING, MI – Kalisha Keane scored 23 points, leading No. 25 Michigan State to a 74-62 victory over Dayton on Monday night.

Keane was 7 for 12 from the field, 3 for 5 from 3-point range and 6 for 7 from the line for the Spartans (2-0), who avenged a season-opening loss to the Flyers last season.

Cetera Washington had 13 points, while freshman Annalise Pickrel had nine points and blocked two shots when the game was close in the second half.

Michigan State shot 47.4 percent from long range and had a 27-9 advantage in points beyond the arc.

Brittany Wilson had 16 points and Justine Raterman put up 13 for Dayton (0-2). The Flyers lost their opener to Penn State 112-107 in double-overtime.
