Tonight, the Nuthouse Sports Grill will host a candlelight vigil for Kevin Wade Wirth, a 27-year-old Lansing man who was murdered over the weekend. His murder will mark Lansing's seventh homicide this year.

Police found Wirth's stabbed and beaten body in a home on East Kalamazoo Street around 7 a.m. Sunday morning, after responding to a burglar alarm. Police said that the murder was not random.

A 30-year-old Detroit suspect has been taken into custody, but his name will not be released until formal charges are filed. The Detroit man was arrested by Lansing Police with aid from a State Police fugitive team and the U.S. Marshal’s service.

The vigil will be held at 8 p.m.
