Police are investigating a sexual assault on the campus of East Lansing High School last Tuesday afternoon.

Police confirmed a sexual assault investigation on the campus of East Lansing High School.

East Lansing police spokesman Lt. Steve Gonzalez said it happened after classes sometime after 3:00 p.m. on April 11. The first complaint came into the department at 5:20 p.m. He would not detail exactly where the assault took place because of an ongoing investigation.

No arrests have been made.

Lt. Gonzalez said a suspect has been named but would not release their identity.  He also said officers are not looking for any other suspects.

"There is no threat to the public," said Lt. Gonzalez.

The person eventually arrested in this case is expected to face a charge of First Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct.

Police would not release information about the victim.
