A Detroit bike sharing organization says it is expanding its offerings to include options for riders of all abilities.
MoGo on Tuesday launched the adaptive bike share pilot program and has added 13 unique cycles that include three upright cargo tricycles, two recumbent tricycles and two hand tricycles.
MoGo Executive Director Lisa Nuszkowski says the addition of adaptive bikes "reflects the organization's commitment to inclusivity and accessibility."
The adaptive cycles will be available at Wheelhouse Detroit for $12 for two-hour ride times on single trip passes and $30 seasonal passes for unlimited two-hour rides. Additional rental hours are $8 each for both options.
MoGo is an affiliate of the Downtown Detroit Partnership. The system has 430 bikes at 43 stations in 10 Detroit neighborhoods.
