Neighbors in Action: Habitat for Humanity Lansing

Courtesy - Habitat for Humanity Lansing

It’s Wednesday and time for our Neighbors in Action segment, where we feature people and organizations working to make our community a better place. Today we feature the Lansing chapter of Habitat for Humanity. Habitat for Humanity builds and renovates affordable homes and is one of the most recognized non-profits in the world. Here to tell us more about what’s been going on at the Lansing chapter of Habitat for Humanity is Dena Vatalaro, the chapter’s community relations manager. And joining Dena is Tim Konwerski, who, along with his family, is about to move into their new Lansing home.

Together we’ve already reduced WKAR’s $1.6 million budget gap created by the loss of federal funding. With your sustaining support we can close the remaining $500,000 gap and keep trusted public media strong for mid-Michigan. The best way to support WKAR is to become a sustainer. Already a sustainer?
