EAST LANSING, MI – A South Korean-born artist who works in New York city is creating a "mixed-media site-specific installation" this week at Michigan State University.
Haeri Yoo starts work Monday on her art work at the Kresge Art Museum and is scheduled to continue through Sunday.
The university says Yoo's work for the Kresge Museum will explore "humor, sexuality, gestural figuration and psychological tension."
It goes on display at the same time as a show called "Gods, Demons and Generals: Icons of Korean Shamanism" that opens Sept. 2.
The East Lansing school says this is the first Michigan project for Yoo, who was born in 1970. She's scheduled to return Sept. 28 to lecture in the Art and Art History Department.
