Lansing (MI) –

This week, A'Lynne Robinson is expected to be voted president of the Lansing City Council.

That will make her next in line to serve as mayor, if Virg Bernero were to leave office this year.

The prospect of such an event has kicked up a notch with the recent announcement that Bernero has formed an exploratory committee to consider running for governor.

WKAR's Scott Pohl recently spoke with Robinson about serving as council president, and the potential that she might one day become mayor.

Together we’ve already reduced WKAR’s $1.6 million budget gap created by the loss of federal funding. With your sustaining support we can close the remaining $500,000 gap and keep trusted public media strong for mid-Michigan. The best way to support WKAR is to become a sustainer. Already a sustainer?
