Visitation, funeral arrangements set for Probert

DETROIT – Visitation and funeral arrangements are set for retired Detroit Red Wings and Chicago Blackhawks tough guy Bob Probert.

He died Monday at age 45 after suffering chest pains while boating with his family.

Visitation is Thursday at the Families First Funeral Home in Windsor, Ontario.

Probert's funeral is scheduled for Friday at 10 a.m. at the Christian Fellowship Church in Windsor.

WJBK-TV reports the funeral and visitation are open to the public.

Probert played for the Red Wings in 1985-1994 and for the Blackhawks in 1995-2002.

He is survived by a wife and four children.
