EAST LANSING, MI – The Lansing Symphony Orchestra's first Masterworks concert is Friday night at MSU's Wharton Center. WKAR's Melissa Ingells spoke with conductor Timothy Muffitt about the program. She asked him first about the last selection of the evening, which is the second of four symphonies written by Johannes Brahms.

Together we’ve already reduced WKAR’s $1.6 million budget gap created by the loss of federal funding.
