Stafford expecting to throw this week

ALLEN PARK, MI – Detroit quarterback Matthew Stafford says he's been told to try some "light throwing" this week.

Stafford told WJR-AM on Monday that he would likely test his injured right shoulder with some throwing this week. Stafford was not available in the dressing room for comment Monday, and the team was not available to the media Tuesday.

The Lions (0-3) have started Shaun Hill the last two games after Stafford was hurt in the season opener. Detroit plays at Green Bay this weekend.
