Redskins-Lions game won't be on TV in Detroit area

By AP

DETROIT – The Detroit Lions' game against the Washington Redskins at Ford Field won't be shown on local TV.

Lions spokesman Bill Keenist confirmed Thursday the team didn't reach a sellout for Sunday's game by the NFL's deadline. Keenist says 8,500 tickets remained available.

The game will be blacked out in the Detroit, Lansing, Saginaw-Flint and Toledo, Ohio, markets.

Detroit had sold out its previous two home games this season.
