LANSING, MI –
Republican Gov.-elect Rick Snyder has chosen former Gov. William Milliken's environmental adviser to be director of strategy in his new administration.
William Rustem is president and CEO of Public Sector Consultants, a Lansing think tank. Milliken was a Republican who served from 1969-1982. He endorsed Snyder's gubernatorial bid.
Snyder also announced Friday that he has chosen two more members for his transition team.
One is Ann Arbor SPARK President and CEO Michael Finney, who will serve on the Transition Committee for Economic Development.
The other is Central Michigan University Trustee Stephanie Comai, who will serve on the Transition Committee for State Management Issues.
Snyder succeeds Democratic Gov. Jennifer Granholm on Jan. 1.
