Granholm signs moose hunting bill

By Rick Pluta, MPRN

LANSING, MI – Governor Granholm has signed a law that will allow moose hunting in the Upper Peninsula. A moose hunting advisory council will conduct a moose population study and make a recommendation on when the moose season will be, and how many licenses should be sold. It is estimated there are 800 to 1,000 moose in the U-P.
